The On-going Challenge of Attractive Usability
At left are some graphically pleasing and user-friendly designs of various websites I have recently produced. Although most remain active websites (just click on the name), others no longer available on the Internet are illustrated graphically here.
As web technology continues to advance, my career continues to evolve with it. It started years ago beginning with traditional printing and photographic technologies and gravitated to and embraced the many facets of basic HTML and digital images. My skills now include more intricate advances in modern information mapping and image editing within complex design software which properly presents very complex source code in modern browser windows.
The modern browser client/server model now embraces dozens of possible markup languages, server-side scriping types, document and database types and interactive image/media presentation. The whole internet picture is, at the very least, mind-boggling and a huge challenge to keep current with. Although each designer has his or her own favorites, they must remain versatile enough to tackle just about anything new in cyberspace... and it's now very common for deep and complex websites to require more than just one person's training and expertise.
